Wouldn’t it Be Nice to Have Someone Around Who Behaves Just Like You?

 

Well, maybe to hang out or grab a drink but not for your new business.

Here👇 is why

There is more to running a business than the ability to relate with like minds.

This is an error most entrepreneurs make when hiring. We look out for people who behave like us and we hire them because we think we can work together with them.

I know we all love ourselves and we probably think we are the best thing that has happened to the world since slice bread. You hear people say often ” if it was someone  like me…”

I get it

Love your self but don’t hire yourself. You heard me.

Most successful businesses work with people they don’t really like, they call them all sorts of names but can’t fire them simply because they get the job done.

Hire a person who can complement the business and be an added advantage to your business not a replication of you!

What if you’re a person who likes to sit and complain over a difficult situation? If you hire someone like you, both of you will sit in your office and complain all day about your business, but if you hire someone who is rather pushy, S/he will gnaw you with possible solutions until you both figure out what to do.

Hire someone who can do the job and improve your business. Hire someone who has a different but focused eye. The blind cannot lead the blind. Know your shortcomings and hire differently.

You may not know this but opposites really work well in business. If you are calm, hire a person who is not calm.

If you can’t lift objects, hire a person who can.

If you’re dull, hire a person who is smart

If you don’t like trouble, hire a person who doesn’t run away from problems

If you’re too uptight, hire a person who is more flexible

If you panic easily, hire a person who loves challenges

If you’re a lady and you don’t know how to confront men, hire someone who can

If you’re not shrewd in business, hire a person who is.

 

If you’re not resourceful, hire a person who is

If you’re too soft, hire a person who is tough

Chances are you will learn from them before they leave you.

Just don’t hire a crook or a dishonest person. They will steal from you or run your business down.

🥕So How Should You Hire An Employee?

First

Consider the job description.

Ensure you hire a competent  staff who can do exactly and even better than what you want.

Then consider other traits such as:

• can the person multitask? This would save you a lot of time and money

• special skills should equally be on the menu. This  would really come in handy

• you can’t need a lady whose job require that she lifts objects, then you go ahead and hire one who loves wearing nails.

• Hire a person of integrity

Just hire right!
